We meet at Bethesda Chapel in Birkdale, Southport. We are an Independent Evangelical Church and not linked to any denomination. We are affiliated to the ‘Fellowship of Evangelists and Ministers’.
We are a Christian Church that holds to the doctrines of the Holy Bible. We meet together to study the Bible, the word of God. The heart of our fellowship is to worship in spirit and truth. John 13v34; ‘A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.’
We believe that the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is very soon. We preach the gospel, the good news of salvation only through Jesus. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith. We have a heart to reach the lost with the gospel. B.B.F. is led by a male leadership team.
Our Church was formerly known as ‘Marshside Christian Fellowship’ and we commenced on the 21.1.2012. Our last service at Marshside was on the 4.9.2016. We have been using Bethesda Chapel since then.
We are reasonably close to both Birkdale and Southport train stations. Approx. 10-15 minute walk.
We have a mixture of hymns and choruses, we pray and meet around the Lord’s Table(Communion). The Biblical teaching is followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. Church Bibles are Authorised king James.
We host the Southport branch of Prophetic Witness Movement International, and details of the meetings will be shown on our diary page.
We are a Bible believing, conservative, evangelical Church. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. That God created the Heavens and the Earth in a literal 6 days and rested on the 7th.
We reject the teachings on replacement theology. We stand with Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Our teachings on eschatology are Pre- Millennial.
